What a gorgeous poem -- I have never heard of it before! And your after is stunning, natch. Going to have to try this prompt!

Thank you Dave! Doing afters (in my opinion) is one of the best exercises for writers. So I’m so happy to hear my poem was delicious along with Lux’s masterpiece 😊

Thank you! I like it too. I am debating between posting it on IG or submitting it somewhere. What do you think?

I wish you could submit it to the Leonard Cohen prize that just closed! I think my vote is submitting and then sharing on IG once it's published.

I did submit to that🤞(Not with this poem of course, since I just wrote it last week)

Hi Isabelle, loved this section:

"while a man kneels

to kiss your thighs.

You’ll go gray

as an owl, become religious

about whiskey."

Really enjoyed your meditation on Thomas Lux's work.
