Hello beautiful people,

SEPTEMBER AS STRIP TEASE Like dew I collapse. Tally tomorrows. Cry hard and ugly. I thought by fall I’d be different— less afraid, more faithful. September spins. Sashays cities into shambles. Says, life is for making art and mistakes. She speaks in the cursive drop of leaves, whispers lace in the cave of my ear— Succumb. I am nothing if not obedient.
September as Strip Tease by Isabelle Correa

The image features a piece of embroidered fabric attached to a wooden post, with the text "LIFE IS FOR MAKING ART & MISTAKES" written in white thread, attributed to Isabelle Correa. This artwork, embroidered by Shana Lee Hampton, is a reflection of the theme from Isabelle Correa's poem September as Strip Tease. The piece showcases a thoughtful and creative exploration of the relationship between imperfection and art. A hand with multi-colored nails gently touches the fabric, emphasizing the personal and tactile connection to the message.
