in her writing group, Gather, and incredibly elated that Chen Chen did a guest workshop last Tuesday for Gather. We ended by writing poems inspired by a selection of art pieces.

I chose Vincent Chong’s oil on canvas, how do you weigh a sleeping ghost? because I was drawn to the title. Using the title immediately freed me to write about a topic I’ve been avoiding—a specific breed of survivor’s guilt.
